The short version
PanelNerd earns referral fees when readers connect with contractors through links on this site. We only earn anything if you take an action — requesting a quote, submitting a lead form, or clicking through to a partner. We are never paid to recommend a specific contractor, brand, or outcome.
Who we work with
PanelNerd currently has no active affiliate or referral partnerships. Some links on this site point to contractor platforms and external resources — these are editorially chosen and we receive no compensation for them at this time.
This page will be updated when any monetization relationship is established.
What this means for our editorial stance
PanelNerd exists to help homeowners verify contractor recommendations before committing to expensive work. That editorial position — "know before you hire" — is why 70–80% of our EV charger content tells readers they probably don't need a panel upgrade at all. We earn nothing when you decide you don't need a contractor. That's intentional.
Our recommendations are based on research, keyword data, publicly available cost data, and homeowner-facing sources. We are not licensed electricians. Nothing on this site is a substitute for a professional assessment of your specific home.
